The most visible WRL activity is work experience which happens in Year 10. Students all have the opportunity to apply for a placement with local business giving them an opportunity to really experience ‘the world of work’ and to develop employability skills, such as team work, communication, time keeping etc. Students that do not attend a placement will still be given the opportunity to develop these skills but in school through some specifically designed workshops.
But we have many other opportunities for students throughout the year and their school life. WRL and Employer Engagement are seen as vital to the development of our students and their ability to continue into meaningful employment in the future.
