Blueprint, AVA’s very own entrepreneurs were one of just eight teams representing secondary schools from Suffolk to go through to the finals of the 2017 Young Enterprise competition which took place last week at the University of Suffolk a few days ago.
The annual event ran throughout the school year with the team of students running their own mini-business to develop a product or service and then market it. Our group chose to sell tuck shop type items including home made popcorn, sweets and more. The stall was set up each break time by the team proving very popular with our younger students!
Blueprint won one of the Additional Awards for Specific Criteria – Problem Solving/Overcoming Adversity for Alde Valley Academy. The experience is sure to benefit them in future endeavours as well as boosting their CVs to impress employers.
Congratulations for bringing home an award as well as proving themselves as worthy ambassadors for the academy.
