New school uniform consultation

Following our conversion to academy status, to reflect that we are now part of the Bright Tribe community of schools we will be introducing a new uniform for all pupils from September 2015.

The uniform follows government guidance on affordability, with key items of the uniform branded with the school badge and available from a central uniform supplier, and the rest being available from high street shops.

We feel strongly that this new uniform will reflect the rising standards at the academy and we want students and parents to have pride in the uniform and being part of the academy community.

As part of the introduction of the new uniform, we would like to ask for the views and feedback of parents and carers and we would like to set up a parents’ consultation group to discuss the new uniform proposals. If you would like to be part of this group, please contact us on heads.pa@aldevalley.suffolk.sch.uk. Alternatively, we would be grateful if you could spend a few minutes completing the uniform feedback questionnaire and return it to the main office at the academy. Please complete by Wednesday 3rd June.

We have put together some Frequently Asked Questions which should hopefully cover any questions you may have, and also some visuals to show how the uniform will look.

We understand that uniform is important to our students and parents and we appreciate that we cannot accommodate everybody’s personal taste and opinions, however we really hope that you will be supportive of the new uniform as we roll it out in September. If you have any questions please get in touch.
